I COLORI DEL PAESAGGIO Aimaro Isola + Hilario Isola 2018 Barge (CN)

The artist Hilario Isola retraces and re-elaborates his father's work in a single large installation 150 meters long that winds lightly in the austere spaces of the former railway offices. The Municipality of Barge opens for the first time to the public the newly restored spaces of the Ex Officine Ferroviarie with the exhibition I colori del paesaggio celebrating the work of Aimaro Isola, protagonist of contemporary Italian architecture. On display is a series of unpublished drawings and watercolors of landscape-related architecture created by Aimaro Isola in collaboration with Roberto Gabetti from 1951 to 2000 and later with Isolarchitetti. I colori del paesaggio tells of the strong local roots: green, stone and nature, from the earliest drawings, are the protagonists of the project. Graphical works of great chromatic richness and sign strength, show off their language autonomy and involve the public by immersing them in a profound vision on the theme of living in the landscape.
